The visa is in the bag!!

Woohoo....!! Just got an email telling me that my visa application has been approved. For the entire year!! I thought I would have to apply again in december because usually the visa is only given for 6 months! I'm thrilled I don't have to think about that anymore...!!

New Zealand! Here I come....!! :o)

Where, why and everything else....

Maybe you would like to know, where I'm going to end up in the world in less than 5 months...?? I'm going to live and work in Tauranga, which is the district of Western Bay of Plenty...

The office of Western Bay of Plenty District Council is in Tauranga. They manage the forests and parks in the district, and since 2004 they have been working towards establishing the TECT All Terrain Park. A bit funny name, but TECT (Tauranga Energy Consumer Trust) is the main sponsor in the puchase of the parks' 1638 hectares. The park will open officially this year and gives the local community great opportunities of being out in nature. The park is also to be used for international events of all kinds. Riding, biking, running, 4X4, shooting, motocross, camping are only a few of the things the park will have to offer.

Here are 2 links to the park:

I'm going to be a part of the communication of the park to the community. Also I'm going to be an assistant to Ric Balfour, who is the park manager. I'm looking very much forward to all the challenges in the coming year. Both at work and as a "stranger" in a new and exciting country.

Everything is going to be turned upside down for me. I get to have my birthday in the spring....! And christmas is going to be celebrated in 25 degrees celcius. If I celebrate christmas that is....maybe I'll go surfing...

I don't know, where I'm going to live yet, but it would be nice living right on the beach...

Or how about here.......? He he....

I'll update the blog with pictures and other stuff, as I go along. Mostly when I've arrived down under....

So this is all for now...
